Acceptance
By accessing or using sukatapp.com ("Sukat", "the service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, you must not use the service. They apply to every visitor, whether or not you process any images.

The service
A free, browser-based image compression and editing tool. Compression, cropping, painting, background removal, format conversion, and ZIP packaging all happen locally via the Canvas API. No file you process is uploaded. No account, sign-up, payment, or watermark.
Licence to use
A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence for personal or commercial purposes — including images you intend to publish, sell, or distribute. No attribution owed. Use it at home, at work, on client projects, or in a commercial workflow without charge.
Acceptable use
What you agree not to do
Because Sukat never sees your image content, enforcement is mostly between you and the law — these are stated to make our position clear.
Prohibited uses
You agree not to use Sukat to:
- Process content you don't have the legal right to process — for example, images covered by copyright that you do not own or have permission to modify.
- Process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or infringes the rights of others, including child sexual-abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that incites violence or hatred.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically replicate the service in a way that bypasses the user-facing interface to build a competing service.
- Attempt to disrupt the operation of the site (e.g. overwhelming the decorative
/api/countendpoint with automated traffic). - Use the site in any way that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction or in the Philippines.
Warranty & liability
No warranty, limited liability, your work is yours
How the service is offered, and who owns what.
No warranty
Sukat is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will meet your specific requirements (e.g. that a compressed photo will be accepted by a third-party portal).
You're responsible for verifying that compressed output meets your needs before you submit, publish, or rely on it. Always cross-check government and embassy photo specifications against the official portal before submitting.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sukat and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or rejected applications — arising out of or related to your use of the service. Total liability for any claim is limited to zero (the service is free and no consideration has been paid).
Intellectual property
The Sukat name, logo, site copy, and underlying source code (excluding the open-source libraries we use, governed by their own licences) are owned by the operators of Sukat. Output you create using Sukat — your compressed images, cropped photos, edited files — belongs entirely to you. We claim no rights over your work product.

Third-party services
Sukat integrates with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Cloudflare for hosting and traffic. Use of those services is subject to their own terms. Sukat is not responsible for third-party services or for any content displayed by Google AdSense ads.
Changes to the service
We may add, remove, or change features at any time without notice. We'll keep the core compression, cropping, and format-conversion functionality available for the foreseeable future, but we don't promise specific features will always exist in their current form.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected by an updated Last updated date at the top of this page. We don't email or notify users individually since we don't collect email addresses. Continuing to use Sukat after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in the Philippines, except where applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you the right to bring proceedings locally.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
